David & Sandy Echols met in Namibia in 2002 & it has been an important part of their lives ever since.
In fact, it is where both their boys, Reese & Avi, were born and have grown up.
David is from Colorado Springs, CO and first came to Namibia in 2001 to serve with a missionary in Namibia’s Kunene Region. Sandy, from Johannesburg, South Africa, came in 2002 and the two served together as church planters with a small team of missionaries among the Ovahimba tribe. In 2003 the two were married and moved to the United States where they studied Cross-Cultural Ministry at Central Christian College of the Bible.
In 2010, shortly after graduating from CCCB, the Echols returned to Namibia with a vision for church planting/community development. They served with a Christian primary school for at risk children in Katutura. After two years of teaching at the school the opportunity came to turn their attention toward community development there in the same neighborhood.
In January of 2013, Three Measures officially began as a church planting/community development ministry in Katutura. By building small communities and raising them up on a foundation of discipleship & development principles, they are seeing young people come to Christ, grow in Him and better their own lives and the lives of those around them.
Their sons Reese & Avi were born in Namibia & the Echols family has been blessed to share their lives with the many friends they have made in Katutura and throughout the country.
