Meet the Uirabs
Passing the Baton
In 2012, David and Sandy Echols founded 3 Measures as a discipleship-based community development program focused on young adults, with local ownership as the goal from the start. By our ninth year, we were excited to see local leadership take over the day-to-day operations. We proudly announced Raylin Uirab as our new director, leading alongside a team of young people who had been raised in our Thrive communities.
Introducing Raylin and Whitney Uirab
Since 2021, Raylin Uirab has faithfully served as the director of 3 Measures Namibia, leading with dedication and passion. During this time, he has worked closely with the local leadership team, accomplishing remarkable progress in the ministry’s mission. His commitment to the community and his ability to guide others reflect his strong character and deep faith. We know Raylin to be both capable and dependable, continually seeking ways to serve God and his community. His leadership has been an inspiration, and we are grateful for the impact he continues to make through his work.
On April 1, 2023, Raylin and Whitney Uirab were married, marking a new chapter not just in their lives but also in the life of the ministry. Whitney quickly became an integral part of 3Measures Namibia, bringing her passion and dedication to the work alongside the local leadership team. Her involvement has been a blessing, adding to the vision of empowering the community.
Whitney’s connection to the Echols goes back to her time as a student at Community Hope School, where David and Sandy were working. They have known her for many years and have seen her grow into the remarkable leader she is today. As a Christian counselor, Whitney has a deep love for the community and a heart for service. She has been actively working with the youth through another organization, and her commitment to mentoring young people has made a lasting impact. We are grateful to have her as part of the 3Measures family, and her influence continues to inspire those around her.

A Letter from Raylin
I have been involved in 3 Measures since 2012 when I joined a Bible study for young adults and made the decision to be baptized into Christ. Throughout these years I have been a part of 3 Measures’ tennis programs, internet café, first aid initiatives and more. I served alongside the Echols as staff from 2013-2016 and as a volunteer ever since. I helped run things while the Echols spent 2018 in the US, and I am currently the project manager for 3 Measures First Aid. It is through this time with 3 Measures that I had the opportunity to get to know you and other volunteers I got to work closely with.
As 3 Measures has been preparing for the future, David asked me to take over the directorship of 3 Measures. While the prospect of this was intimidating and somewhat unexpected, I have no doubt that through the tools and experience I have gained in my time with the ministry, God can use me.
I am excited and honored by the opportunity to step into this new role. I am not only familiar with the mission of 3 Measures, but its values have been foundational in my own life. For this reason, I have committed to serving full-time as director of the ministry. As I step into this new role, I will need partners like you to join with me to make it possible. I have worked closely with the Echols and a team of advisors to create a budget (below) that will cover my personal and ministry expenses. I would like to ask you to join me in ministry through your prayers and financial support. Will you please consider making a monthly commitment to help me reach $1,000 in monthly support?
